Portable buildings firm Portakabin has this week said it will be creating 30 new jobs at its new premises in the town.
As first reported here in February by Burnham-On-Sea.com, the firm is building a new centre on Highbridge’s Isleport Industrial Park.
The firm will employ 30 staff at the new centre, to be located on 4.69 acres of land next to the roundabout at the junction of Mark Road and Bennett Road.
The property is set to employ 30 full-time staff once operational. The land will be used for two buildings providing office and workshop space.
Will Nell, associate director at DTZ’s industrial agency team in Bristol, said: “The strategic location of the site and its accessibility to the motorway made it a strong option for Portakabin’s new regional centre. The purchase is also positive news for the local area, with a number of jobs being created at the site.”
