A well-known Burnham-On-Sea couple has celebrated their diamond anniversary.
Barry and Ann Popham marked the special milestone with a celebration meal with around 50 friends at Brent House at the weekend.
Barry, 82, and Ann, 81, who live on The Esplanade, received a traditional greetings card from Her Majesty the Queen.
The couple met at a dance six decades ago, tied the knot at Weston Registry Office and have always lived in Burnham. “It has been a very enjoyable 60 years together,” said Ann.
