A night of cabaret music from the 60s, 70s and 80s attracted an audience of more than 100 people for a fundraising event in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday night (June 18th).
Burnham’s Moose International Lodge 123 held ‘Pop and Chips’ at Burnham’s Princess Theatre and Arts Centre to raise funds for the town’s Gateway Club and other local groups.
The sell-out audience was treated to vocal and dance entertainment from ‘Boogie Avenue’, while table-served cold meats and chip meals were available alongside a licensed bar.
Event organizer Terry Cornelius told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a super evening to remember, marking eighty years of Moose at Burnham-On-Sea, and raising money for the Gateway Club and Moose charities.”
He added that this was the fourth in a series of events at The Princess, with ‘Jazz and Chips 2′ planned for November, and a 1920’s style event in March 2012.
