A decision about the future of Burnham-On-Sea’s closure-threatened swimming pool has been further delayed and will not now be made until April 8th, it was announced on Friday (March 28th).
Sedgemoor District Council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Due to the highly complicated nature of the legal processes that have to be followed by public authorities, the meeting scheduled for 2nd April to discuss the future of the leasing of Burnham pool will be further deferred until 8th April.”
“A meeting of the Executive committee will hear an exempt report at 9.30am on Tuesday 8th April in the Charter Hall in Bridgwater.”
She added that due to this delay, there will be nothing further to report to the community meeting scheduled for April 3rd at Burnham Community Centre.
Therefore, the meeting will now take place at 6pm on Tuesday, April 8th at the Princess Hall in Burnham-on-Sea instead.
It was first reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com three weeks ago that five bidders were in the frame to take over the lease of the Berrow Road pool.
