Burnham-On-Sea police urge vigilance after car stolen in town

-

Burnham-On-Sea police have this week asked residents to be extra vigilant following the theft of a car and an attempted break-in at a shop.

Both incidents occurred in North Burnham overnight on Tuesday (February 14th) into Wednesday.

“A Nissan was stolen from the Stoddens Road area and recovered nearby,” Sgt Ian Kennett of Burnham Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Separately, an attempt was made to force entry into a shop in Rectory Place,” he added.

He appealed to anyone who saw any suspicious activities in the area should contact Burnham Police on the non-emergency number 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
