Burnham-On-Sea Police reassure community after town murder

-

Burnham-On-Sea Police have this week reassured residents about safety following a murder in the town last month.

Sgt Ryan Edwards, pictured, spoke during a Town Council meeting on Monday (December 11th) following the murder of Burnham-On-Sea woman Lisa Marie Thornton at a property in Berrow Road in November.

“It was a tragic murder, but I would reassure residents that this was an isolated, domestic incident,” he said.

He added that Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the death. “A man has been charged and is in custody,” he said.

Owen Pellow, 42, of Berrow Road was charged with the murder of Lisa Marie Thornton, 36, following the death on November 23rd.

Bristol Magistrate’s Court heard last month that Lisa was his former partner. Pellow’s solicitor Sally Donaldson indicated that Pellow, who spoke to confirm his date of birth and address, would plead not guilty.
