Police are inviting residents from the villages surrounding Burnham-On-Sea to a meeting where they will be able to discuss any issues they feel are affecting the local community.
The ‘Partners and Communities Together’ meeting will take place at The Princess Hall in Burnham on Wednesday January 14th at 7pm.
The meetings, held every few months, give local people the chance to have their say on matters affecting their neighbourhood, from litter or noise to street lighting or anti-social behaviour.
Sgt Steve Lawrence, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “These meetings are a great opportunity for local people, young and old, to have their say on policing in their community – and can empower us to work together to tackle the issues that matter to them.”
“The PACT meeting next Wednesday is for local residents from East Huntspill, West Huntspill, Pawlett, Brent Knoll, Rooksbridge, East Brent, Lympsham, Brean and Berrow. I would encourage anyone who is interested in keeping their area a safe place to live to come along. We look forward to seeing you there.”
Residents will also be updated on actions taken to tackle the issues raised at the last PACT meeting held last October, which include speeding and illegal/inconsiderate parking.
Anyone is welcome to come along with ideas on how their neighbourhood could be improved.
