Police have been carrying out ‘reassurance patrols’ in Burnham-On-Sea after carrying out several raids in the town centre this week.
Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here that one person had been arrested on Thursday (April 10th) after two properties in College Street and George Street were raided by Police.
Police horses were ridden through the town centre and neighbouring streets on Friday as part of an increased presence.
“Neighbourhood officers will be carrying out extra reassurance patrols in the area, however we do not consider there to be any increased risk to the public,” a Police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Officers executed two pre-planned warrants at a residential property in College Street and George Street. One person was arrested and is in police custody.”
