Motorists on the M5 motorway faced slow-moving queues of traffic for up to seven miles on Friday afternoon (August 4th) after two separate accidents at Burnham-On-Sea’s junction 22.
A car and lorry collided in the first incident at mid-day next to the northbound entry sliproad, as pictured, and then three vehicles collided in a separate accident north of the Burnham junction.
“Fortunately, no-one was injured but it caused major traffic delays to those travelling north on the M5 between Taunton and Burnham-On-Sea,” a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
