Two arrested over death of man in Berrow hit and run accident
Two men have been arrested following the death of 32-year-old Mark Close iin a hit-and-run accident at Berrow in the early hours of Saturday July 16th.
The victim, Mark Close of Weston-super-Mare (pictured), was walking along Barton Road with two other men when he was struck by a car, thought to be a light blue Ford Sierra. He was declared dead at the scene.
A 22 year-old from Bristol was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was held in custody at Taunton Police Station.
And a second man was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. The 18-year-old, also from Bristol, was questioned by police.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: “We would appeal for anyone with information on this death to come forward.”
