Burnham-On-Sea woman is named after fatal road traffic accident
A Burnham-On-Sea woman has died after being involved in a night-time road traffic accident on Highbridge Road, pictured above.
The 18-year-old was formally identified by police as Stephanie Shaw of Highbridge Road, Burnham-On-Sea.
Stephanie was involved in a collision with a car near The Lighthouse Inn at 5.20pm on November 7th, the same night as Burnham’s Carnival.
She was rushed to Weston General Hospital with head injuries and was later transferred to Frenchay Hospital, where she tragically died at 1am on Monday November 14th.
The police’s investigation unit has renewed its appeal for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the collision investigation unit on 0845 4567000.
