Police officer suspended from driving after Marine Drive accident
The Burnham-On-Sea police officer who was involved in a dramatic accident on Marine Drive, pictured above, has been suspended from driving police vehicles.
Marine Drive was closed for almost an hour on October 15th after the patrol car crashed and flipped over near the town’s Roman Catholic Church.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The officer has been suspended from driving police vehicles pending a full investigation.”
He added: “The officer is not suspended from his job and is still on duty in Burnham.”
