Fundraising pig racing evenings return to Brean this month

-

This month sees the return of Brean Leisure Park’s annual Pig and Donkey race nights, which are held throughout the summer.

Brean is once again expecting crowds of onlookers to flock to the first pig races and donkey derby Tuesday July 27th.

The events raise money for local good causes, including Highbridge and Burnham’s St John Ambulance, and Burnham-On-Sea Sea Cadets.

Richard House, Managing Director of Brean Leisure Park, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are fully aware of the impact these charities have on the local community and will continue to support their efforts, hopefully increasing our donations year on year.”

Brean Leisure Park’s annual Pig and Donkey racing evenings held throughout the summer annually raise around £7,000 for charity.

Pig and Donkey racing at Brean Leisure Park is held every Tuesday evening from 27th July until 31st August. Admission is £2 per person with children in prams and pushchairs free.

Racing starts at 7pm and includes three pig races, six donkey races and a grand final. There is a tote available for those who like a flutter, as well as bar and catering facilities.

The Tavern entertainment venue will be open from 7pm for dining, followed by cabaret with Brean Leisure Park’s resident band ‘Streetlife’. For more information, call 01278 751595.
