Supermarket giant Morrisons has this week reassured motorists that a busy seafront car park in Burnham-On-Sea will only close temporarily while work is carried out.
A large section of the Pier Street car park was cordoned off throughout Tuesday (May 26th), as pictured above, with bollards preventing access to approximately 200 spaces.
But Morrisons, which is due to open its new supermarket at the site during the next few weeks, said the work is only temporary.
Spokeswoman Katie Neasham explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are replacing the white lines across the whole car park over the next few days, so several large sections will be temporarily closed on a rotational basis while the work is completed. We will keep the disruption to a minimum.”
