Seafront walkers can now enjoy a ‘short’ on Britain’s shortest pier!

Visitors to Burnham-On-Sea’s Pavilion can now enjoy a ‘short’ on Britain’s shortest pier for the first time!

Following the approval of its new alcohol licence, the pier has this week put on sale a selection of wines, beers and spirits at its refreshments kiosk.

Manager Louise Parkin, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There’s already been a lot of interest from passers-by for our ‘Pimms on the pier’ and we are talking to several breweries about offering Somerset beers and ciders as well.”

She added: “We have often been asked by customers why we haven’t sold drinks to accompany our hot food so this season we are giving it a go.”

“We’re don’t intend to compete with the pubs, but are aiming at holidaymakers and seafront visitors who want to enjoy a quick drink while enjoying the sea air or eating their fish and chips.”
