Burnham-On-Sea’s eleventh annual Picnic In the Park has been hailed ‘the best ever’ after huge crowds flocked to the town’s Manor Gardens on Sunday (July 13th) to soak up the sunshine and music.

The free entertainment included music from acclaimed 20-piece Boulevard Swing Big Band who played a full list of swing tunes, from Benny Goodman to modern times.

The Fallen Apples acoustic group (pictured) played a range of folk, skiffle, blues and hill billy music.

And Gary French, a singer and songwriter on guitar, was also in action during the afternoon.

Event organiser Mike Murphy told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been a “great success” and he thanked all those who had attended and showed their support.

Picnic In The Park is organised by CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society. The group organises three or four free events a year for the benefit of people in both towns.
