Torrential rainfall sent water gushing through a ceiling inside Burnham-On-Sea’s Reeds Arms pub this week.
A large quantity of rain water leaked through the roof onto the staircase, as photographed here by a Burnham-On-Sea.com reader.
The JD Wetherspoon pub on Burnham’s Esplanade has been forced to close its main customer toilets upstairs while work to repair the ceiling goes ahead.
Ashley Weller, a spokesman for JD Wetherspoon, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Heavy rain caused rain water to start coming in through the roof.”
“The pub remains open and trading as normal, except the ladies and gents toilet area upstairs.”
She added: “The customer toilets have been closed off, leaving only the accessible toilet available.”
Contractors have been brought in by the national pub firm to carry out repairs at the Burnham pub.
