Over 250 athletes of all ages from across the region converged on Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (April 28th) for the town’s annual Spring Triathlon.
Organised by Burnham-On-Sea Swim and Sports Academy, the Super Sprint Triathlon and Junior Triathlon were held in dry but cold weather conditions.
The adult competitors completed a 250m swim, 10km bike ride and a 2.5km run while the youngsters completed a shorter course. The results are available here.
Mark Conklin-Cox from the Swim and Sports Academy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a really super turnout and there was some really competitive action.”
“Our thanks go to all the athletes and marshalls for their support plus the residents and motorists for their support while several roads were temporarily closed during the event.”
