A total of £3,630 was raised for a breast cancer support charity when 200 people attended a popular ladies night in Brean on Friday evening (October 18th).
Breast Cancer Now held its ninth annual ladies night at Brean Leisure Park, where the adults-only evening included male performers, music, a charity raffle and a disco.
Organiser Holly Macbeth told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “200 ladies attended our annual ladies-only night at the Tavern in Brean where they got to dance the night away and watch a fabulous show – while knowing that they were supporting a superb cause!”
“We are thrilled that we raised a staggering £3,630.04 which is just epic! We have so many people to thank, including our amazing male acts who took it to a whole new performance level and were amazing once again!”
“We also thank all the amazing staff at The Tavern and Brean Leisure Park, plus the House family for letting us host the event there again, and Ali, Evely and Chunkie Russell for all their support.”
“Thanks also go to everyone who donated raffle prizes – we had tons of stunning prizes this year and we are ever so grateful for their generosity.”
She added: “We are thrilled it was another fantastic evening. Our passion for our charity and to fundraise is so important and to keep mum’s legacy and memory still going.”
Please except our sincerest thanks from us all you have made us very happy!”
“Our 10th annual ladies night will be held on 16th October 2020 and has already been booked! Mark your diaries – we want to go bigger and better again next year!”
The next fundraising event being held is the Shop For a Cure Christmas Fair at Berrow Village Hall on Saturday November 24th – 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.
