A classic car display held in East Huntspill on Bank Holiday Monday (May 27th) has been hailed a big success.
100 classic vehicles attended the ‘Lazy Monday Classic Car Display’ on East Huntspill Playing Field.
There was an afternoon of classic cars, local stalls, refreshments and family entertainment, raising money for local good causes.
The team from Bridgwater Classic & Vintage Club and All Saints Community Group led the day and said it was a great success.
Organiser Paul Chamberlain from Bridgwater Classic & Vintage Club told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted with how the day went in its first year. We had a great turnout of vehicles and big numbers of visitors through the day. We hope it can grow in the future.”
Sabina Brooks from All Saints Community Group added: “It was an absolutely fantastic day, bringing the local community together. We are currently fundraising for a new defibrillator for Bason Bridge and a clean-up of the war memorial so the funds are a great help.”
