Hundreds of people supported a fundraising Christmas craft fair on Saturday (November 23rd) held in aid of a charity that was formed in memory of a Burnham-On-Sea teenager.
The event was held at the Ritz Social Club in Burnham where over a dozen stalls were set up for visitors to buy Christmas presents and help In Charley’s Memory.
In Charley’s Memory was set up after Charley Marks took his own life, aged 18, in 2014 and the charity now supports and helps hundreds of young people plus those affected by mental health.
Spokeswoman Dawn Carey told Burnham-On-Se.com: “A huge thank you goes to everyone who came along, raising an awesome £2,316.75 for our charity.”
The event was timed to coincide with the Burnham-On-Sea Christmas lights switch-on outside and had a busy flow of visitors through the day, including from the Mayor Andy Brewer, Sedgemoor Chairman Peter Clayton.
