Friends of Berrow Beach celebrates first anniversary at latest beach clean

-

High winds failed to blow away the enthusiasm of volunteers when they took part in a beach clean at Berrow on Saturday (March 9th).

The Friends of Berrow Beach held their third beach clean of the year so far, supported by a group of dedicated helpers who turned out despite the blustery conditions.

Following a series of stormy high tides, the helpers had plenty of plastic and other debris to collect – with many sackfuls collected.

The event was extra special as the the Berrow group celebrated its first anniversary, and the organisers thanked its loyal band of supporters.

It was formed in March 2018 and is led by Honour Greenslade, Sue Meads and Nigel Hoy with the support of Litter Free Coast and Sea Somerset.
