Fundraisers and suppprters of Burnham-On-Sea’s Somewhere House Somerset flocked to its a successful Christmas Fete on Saturday (23rd November).
The event ran between 11am and 1.30pm at Burnham’s Baptist Church in College Street to raise awareness and funds.
The group held the event alongside Somerset Time for Youth, plus the mental health charity Mind and members of the local community.
Somewhere House Somerset is a small charity that provides counselling, educational workshops and community projects for residents in Burnham-On-Sea.
“We provide affordable therapy, only a donation required and this can be anything from 10 pence upwards, that is accessible to all.”
“Our charity helps individuals, families, young adults, parents, lone parents, LGBTQ, victims of crime, violence and abuse, older people, individuals living in poverty, long term unemployed, people with alcohol and substances misuse, addiction and many more.”
“Somewhere House Somerset offers fully qualified therapists to help with mental health difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, family dysfunction, suicidal ideation and many others mental health issues.”
“Our counsellors work in a person-centred approach helping individuals perceived themselves more consciously whilst working towards meeting their full potential.”
“We believe that each person we support should have opportunities to develop relationships, learn new things and enjoy the activities they wish to do.
