Photos: Burnham-On-Sea railway signal box becomes pop-up shop

-

A pop-up shop selling dozens if handmade fused and stained glass items, plus resin jewellery and pottery has opened in Burnham-On-Sea’s railway signal box this week.

Dragonfly Pottery and Glass has hired the replica signal box in Old Station Approach, next to Burnham lifeboat station, for a week to display and sell its range of gift items.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, artist Lizzie Masters said: “We’ve hired the signal box because we feel as a local business it is good to show people what we can do and we get to meet customers in person rather than just online.”

The box, which is owned by the Town Council, has been decorated top to bottom with products.

The pop-up shop is open from 9am-6pm on Tuesday 6th August, Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th, Friday 9th and Saturday 10th.
