Burnham-On-Sea firefighters tackled a car blaze on the A38 Bristol Road in Highbridge on Saturday night (October 5th).
One fire appliance was sent to the scene, at the entrance to The Oaktree speedway track, at 8.20pm to extinguish the car, which was in flames.
“On arrival, crews confirmed the vehicle was well alight and got to work to extinguish the fire using two Breathing Apparatus and one Compressed Air Foam Jet,” said a spokesman.
“The vehicle suffered 100% fire and heat damage to the engine compartment.”
“The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
