Burnham District Pantomime Society has marked its 50th anniversary with a celebration dinner.
The popular group’s golden anniversary was marked with a special celebration evening, attended by current and past members, at The Oaktree.
The group’s Angela Nicholson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Members from the very first Pantomime in 1969, through to current members gathered at the Oaktree on Saturday evening.”
“We enjoyed a lovely meal and swapped Panto stories from the last 50 years. Alistair Murray wrote a fantastic history of the Society which was read by our current Director Lorna. “
“President Derick Cooper and Chairman Gavin Holman offered their thoughts on the celebration.”
“There were hundreds of photographs to peruse together with show DVDs running during the evening.”
The organising committee Angela Nicholson, Val Holmes, Gavin Holman and Lorna Blair thanked all those who attended. The Society is currently busy planning its 51st pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, for 2020.
