Berrow ‘Shop for a Cure for Christmas’ fair raises £722 for cancer charity

-

A Berrow Christmas gift fair attracted crowds of shoppers on Sunday (24th November), raising funds for a Somerset cancer charity.

The annual ‘Shop for a Cure for Christmas’ was held in Berrow Village Hall where a wide variety of stalls was set up selling a great line-up of Christmas crafts and gifts.

Organiser Holly MacBeth of Somerset Breast Cancer Now told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “What a day! You did us proud once again considering there has been so much happening in our area this weekend and we are ever so thankful for all those who came and supported our event.”

“We are pleased to say we have raised an amazing £722, beating 2018’s total! Thank you to all who donated prizes, made cakes and helped in anyway to make this event yet again a success!”

“We hope to see you all again next year for our 10th anniversary of ‘Shop for a Cure for Christmas. Thank you so much once again we are totally amazed by your kindness and generosity.”

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s Mayor, Cllr Andy Brewer, and Deputy Mayor Cllr Bill Hancock and Deputy Mayoress Frances Hancock were among the visitors giving their support to Holly and the team at Sunday’s event.
