This eye-catching portrait photo has helped a Burnham-On-Sea photographer win an international award.
Alistair Campbell has been named the Portrait Winner at the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers Print Competition, the largest such competition in Europe.
Alistair told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I won the Avant Garde portrait category initially and my winning shot was judged against the other portrait categories to choose the ‘Overall Portrait Winner’.”
He added: “I have only been doing photography for a couple of years and had no idea how my work would stand up against others, or indeed what level I was at.”
“So I entered mainly to get a indication of my level, and really never thought I would receive these awards. It’s a vey proud feeling to get recognition amongst my peers.”
The awards ceremony was held in the Hilton Hotel in London with over 500 entries assessed from around the world.
