Burnham teens to give talk on how they helped typhoon-hit Philippines

-

Two Burnham-On-Sea teenagers who have returned from a trip to the Philippines to help rebuild and repair communities badly affected by recent typhoons are to hold a talk about their experience.

James Whitrow and Tom Creswick completed a fundraising campaign earlier this year to cover the costs of their £6,000 trip.

Tom said: “My friend James and I were fundraising to go on a charity mission to the Philippines for three weeks. We are delighted to say that we raised all the money and had the best and most insightful times of our lives over the summer.”

“Now we are back, we are holding a talk to anybody who was interested in finding out about our trip. Absolutely everyone is invited, we’d love to see lots of faces!”

The free talk will be held at Burnham Baptist Church on Wednesday 23rd September at 7.30pm. The 45-minute talk from the duo will be accompanied by videos and pictures, while scrapbooks and other photos will be on show. They have prepared an online preview video here.
