Over 60 residents in Burnham-On-Sea took part in a community peace on Wednesday evening (November 25th) following recent terrorism attacks across the world.
Local people of all ages attended the event in the town’s Manor Gardens, as pictured, where a 30-minute period of silence was held.
Rev Sharon Eldergill from St Andrew’s Church said: “Our fluttering candles in the wind reflected well the fluttering peace around the world.”
“Residents simply stood stand and remembered those who have lost their lives in Paris, Turkey, Africa and the Middle East through the brokenness of this world. It brought individual residents together to make a silent gesture for peace.”
