One of the area’s smallest and most picturesque schools has a new Head Teacher.
Emma Hardy-Smith will take on Pawlett Primary School, which is now being supported by the high-achieving Priory Learning Trust.
The school is over 200 years old and is situated in stunning grounds with sports pitches, a forest school, adventure playground, and next door to a state-of-the-art community club with a 3G football pitch that can be used by the schoolchildren.
Pawlett Primary School is located between Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater and currently has 56 pupils from Reception up to Year 6.
The Priory Learning Trust, that made Priory Community School in Weston one of Britain’s best, is now assisting Pawlett Primary as well as Highbridge’s King Alfred School.
There are plans for even smaller class sizes and applications for Reception places are now open.
Executive Principal of The PLT Neville Coles told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted to welcome Emma as the new Head Teacher. These are exciting days ahead.”
