Burnham-On-Sea’s town centre pavements should be looking a lot cleaner this week after a council-funded street wash was completed.
Contractors working for Sedgemoor District Council completed the first cleaning session of the year.
A district council spokesperson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Street washing contractors are employed to steam clean pavements and footways to remove chewing gum and built-up grime.”
“Street washing is used to supplement the day-to-day cleaning carried out by the council’s Clean Surroundings Team and forms part of the council’s drive to make the district even cleaner.”
