Burnham-On-Sea’s pavements should be looking a lot cleaner this week after the town’s bi-annual street wash was completed during the last few days.
Contractors working for Sedgemoor District Council completed the first cleaning session of the year, as pictured right.
District council spokesperson Lynda Kyle said: “Street washing contractors are employed to steam clean pavements and footways to remove chewing gum and built-up grime.”
“Street washing is used to supplement the day to day cleansing carried out by the council’s Clean Surroundings Team and forms part of the council’s drive to make the district even cleaner.”
