Burnham-On-Sea’s pier will be joining in a nationwide celebration to mark the launch of British Tourism Week this Sunday (March 13th).
The Pavilion, which is famous for being the shortest in the UK, will host a Party On The Pier from 12 noon.
The event will include traditional fish and chip meals, locally produced food, plus Morris Dancing and entertainment and a special visit by Burnham’s Mayor and Mayoress and Sedgemoor District Council’s Chairman, Jane Moreton.
The Pavilion’s Managing Director, Louise Parkin, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It promises to be a great day and we look forward to welcoming lots of visitors.”
“We will be promoting all things British, with Fish and Chips cooked in local Rich’s Farm cider at discounted prices, along with traditional High Teas. We want to do our bit in promoting Britain – and Burnham – as a tourist destination.”
Over 30 seaside piers across the UK are joining the event, including Weston on Saturday.
