Sunshine brought a record turnout of hundreds of people to Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Party In The Park on Sunday (May 6th).
Party In The Park was held over five hours and featured live performances by Daft Folk, Polden Mountain Boys, Lost In The Grass and the Ecclestone band.
Organiser Mike Murphy from CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The wonderful weather brought us a record crowd, with the gardens filled to the brim with people enjoying an afternoon of great music in the sunshine.”
He added: “We saw hundreds of poeple during the day – and the bar even ran out of drinks.”
The organisation has been holding free music events in Burnham’s Manor Gardens for over two decades and is looking forward to its 21st season. The next event will be Jazz In The Park 2018 on Sunday June 3rd.
