Record crowds of spectators flocked to the first event of Burnham-On-Sea’s summer season of outdoor music events on Sunday (May 8th).
Hundreds of people filled the Manor Gardens for the annual Party In The Park, which offered five hours of entertainment and live music.
The event was headlined by The Fallen Apples who made a popular return to Burnham after several previous appearances at the town’s Folkfest music festival.
Spectators also enjoyed the Nicky Swann Duo, Redhillbillies and Adam Smith.
Organiser Mike Murphy from CADS (the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society) told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a fantastic afternoon. We had record number of spectators and the crowd really got into the spirit of the music.”
The season continues on June 12th with Jazz and Swing in the Park, followed on July 10th by Picnic In the park. CADS holds several free events a year for the benefit of people in both towns.
