Skygazers in the Burnham-On-Sea area were able to capture a brief glimpse of the partial solar eclipse on Saturday (March 29th).
Brent Knoll resident Stephen Baggs took this shot of the phenomenon from the village, saying: “It’s a shame there was so much cloud about, but I managed to grab this during one of the gaps between the clouds – taken at 10:42am.”
A partial solar eclipse occurs when the moon moves between the Earth and the sun, partially covering the sun and creating a crescent-shaped appearance.
People had the chance to see the Moon cover about 30% to 50% of the Sun at its peak.
