Burnham-On-Sea’s MP got quite an eyeful when 12 environmental protesters stripped off in the middle of a Commons debate on Britain’s exit from the European Union.
Posting this photo of the revealing incident on social media, Burnham’s MP James Heappey said: “Parliament just got a little bit more nuts!”
Six men and six women exposed their partially-naked bodies and pressed themselves against the glass which separates the public viewing gallery from the Commons chamber.
The activists – from Extinction Rebellion, an environment campaign group that advocates direct action – had the words “Climate justice act now” and “eco collapse” written on.
