Burnham and Highbridge’s Park Runs are proving to be a runaway success, with up to 140 runers taking part every week.
The latest run, pictured here on Saturday, saw dozens taking part in the run around Apex Park.
The Burnham and Highbridge Park Run launched in June last year and the event attracts scores of runners each Saturday at 9am.
Park Runs are free to join, but runners need to sign up online here to get a unique barcode that enables them to log their finishing times each week.
“We are delighted and amazed at how quickly the event has grown,” organiser Reg Huxtable, pictured below, from Burnham Harriers told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We often get 140 runners or more taking part which is superb for a such new event taking placee every week.”
Alex Crocker from 1610, below, does the warm ups for the runs to help promote King Alfred Sports Centre’s healthy living push, which we recently featured here.
