Burnham-On-Sea and District Pantomime Society’s first performances of the entertaining tale of Mother Goose gets underway today (Friday).
The fun-filled show at Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre will provide audiences with a traditional fairytale about Gerty Goose.
Director Lorna Blair told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The excitment is really starting to build now and we are all looking forward to performing the show. It’s a really traditional, fun family performance.”
Performances will be held on Friday 22nd January, and Tuesday 26th – Saturday 30th January at 7pm. There will also be shows on Saturday 23rd at 3pm and Sunday 24th January at 3pm.
The key characters are Mother Goose (Robert Blackmore), Jill (Katie Shephard), Jack (Gabrielle Blair), Silly Billy (Emma Twigg), Lucy Goose (Mo Cooper), Mephisto (Alastair Murray), Fairy Goosedown (Valerie Holmes), Nifty (Phoebe Harling), Shifty (Melvyn Shephard).
The Senior Chorus members are Angelina Mitchell, Daisy-Mae Marks, Georgia Twigg, Harley Shadbolt, Juliette Bissell, Louisa Arthur and Owen Twigg.
The Junior Chorus are Alfie Bissell, Cohan Slator, Eleana Mitchell, Eleni Markoutsas, Freyja Hewlett, Max Humphreys, Mercina Markoutsas and Olivia Moores.
Other cast members include Charlie (Harley Shadbolt), Keepers of the Fountain (Owen Twigg and Louisa Arthur).
The panto dancers are Sophia Christodoulou, Fiona Williams, Emily Few and Beth Fawcett.
The production team include Director Lorna Blair, choreography by Emma Nicholson, the DanceFit Dancers, stage management by Gavin Holman and team, sound and lighting by Graham Cook, Clive Bond, Jan Newton, Mandy Williams and Archie Williams.
The large props are from Gavin Holman, Mo Cooper, Stuart Blair and members. Scenery design is by Mo Cooper and Alastair Murray. Painting helpers are Frank, Joe, Gaye, Gavin and Zoe. Costumes are by Denise McKenna and members, while make-up is by Frank Neill and the pompt is Gaye Holman.
