Several Burnham-On-Sea Pantomime Society members have been presented with long-service awards this week.
The group, who performed Jack and The Beanstalk earlier this year as featured here, were handed their awards at Burnham’s Princess Theatre on Friday evening.
Sue Pomeroy, the area representative from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA), handed over the awards.
Those receiving long-service awards were Frank Neill (40 years), Barbara Neill (40 years), Bob Buckler (35 years), Nita Buckler (35 years), Phoebe Harling (35 years), Mo Coopoer (25 years) and John Holmes (25 years).
Others included Val Holmes (25 years), Pat Barney (30 years), Lorna Blair (25 years), Melvyn Shephard (40 years), Alastair Murray (40 years), Pam Date (25 years), Wendy Wynn (40 years) and Paul Wynn (35 years).
Meanwhile, several young members of the group also received certificates from Derick Cooper, the Society’s President, after winning a top shield at the Weston Festival. They were Gabbi Blair, Katie Shephard, Shannon Manlolo and Yanika Johnson.
