A sponsored fancy dress pancake flipping session is to be held in Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens later this month.
The Friends of Marine Cove Gardens will be holding the event on Shrove Tuesday (21st February) at 4pm.
“Residents are welcome to join in by bringing their own frying pan and dressing up in fancy dress if wanted,” one of the organisers told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “We will supply a pancake for all that enter and a medal at the end.”
Participants are being encouraged to be sponsored for how many flips they can complete in a minute.
The money raised will be split between the Friends of Marine Cove and BIARS (Burnham Information and Rescue Service), the organisation that runs the town’s information centre.
