Residents in Burnham-On-Sea have picked speeding and anti-social behaviour as the top two priorities for police in the town over the next three months.
Almost 30 residents attended the latest community police meeting, held last night (Thursday, August 4th) in Burnham Community Centre, where they were given the chance to influence what issues are tackled in the town.
Residents voted on which issues should be adressed as the top priorities. These included illegal town centre parking, police inaction, pub licensing issues, anti-social behaviour in the Rosewood Park area, illegal cycling on pavements, speeding along Love Lane, Stoddens Road and The Esplanade, and drug dealing.
A vote was taken when anti-social behaviour in the Rosewood Park area and speeding along Love Lane, Stoddens Road and The Esplanade were picked as the top two for the coming quarter.
During the meeting, which was chaired by Rosewood Action Team Chairman John Alexander, updates were given on tackling the issues set at the previous meeting earlier in the year. There was also a lively discussion about police inaction.
