A 29 year-old motorist has been charged after two people were injured when his car crashed into them in Burnham-On-Sea last Friday (April 17th).
As reported here, emergency services were called to Oxford Street near the junction with College Street following the tea-time collision.
The man from East Brent has been charged with possessing a knife in a public place, driving without insurance, driving when alcohol level above limit, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road accident.
He appeared at Taunton Magistrates’ Court this week and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Taunton Crown Court on May 26th.
The two people suffered minor injuries.
