Police confirmed on Monday (June 23rd) that a teenager had been arrested following a dramatic accident in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend.
A 19-year-old man was held following an accident in Oxford Street in which a car ploughed into a garden wall, sending bricks and concrete through the front windows of a house, as first reported here.
Police spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A nineteen year old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and was later released on bail pending further enquiries.”
Residents were woken by a loud bang early on Saturday (June 21st) when the car, which was travelling from Highbridge to Burnham, left the road and careered into a garden.
