A child was injured after being struck by a car in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea on Monday (April 7th).
Emergency services were called to Oxford Street, at the junction with Dunstan Road, shortly before 3.30pm, as pictured here.
Ambulance crews treated a young girl at the scene for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Mel Glanville, spokeswoman for South West Ambulance Service, added: “The girl, believed to be around 10 years old, was taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital.”
Police sealed off the road while an investigation into the collision began with traffic being diverted along nearby streets.
