A family had a lucky escape when their car towing a caravan overturned on the M5 between Burnham-On-Sea and Weston on Thursday (August 2nd).
Part of the northbound carriageway was closed following the accident at around 1pm, as pictured here.
A fire service spokesman said: “Two fire appliances from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater attended the collision involving a car and a caravan alongside ambulance and Police.”
“Crews arrived and confirmed all persons were free and clear of the vehicles, and assisted with scene safety and making the vehicles safe.”
At its worst, Highways England South West warned of delays of more than 60 minutes in the area.
