Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called to West Road in Brent Knoll on Tuesday evening (June 28th) where several outbuildings were reported to be on fire.
Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Cheddar were called to the incident just before 9.45pm.
“On their arrival crews confirmed smoke and flames were issuing, and crews got to work using two breathing apparatus and two compressed air foam jets,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Crews confirmed there were no persons or animals involved in the incident. The fire was extinguished at 10.28pm and crews damped down the hot spots.”
The single-storey stable block was of wooden construction and was 50% damage by fire with 100% smoke damage to the remainder of building.
Crews said they are carrying out “further investigations to determine the cause”.
