Over 140 people filled Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Hall on Saturday (April 5th) for a special night of traditional music and entertainment organised by the town’s Lions Club.
The Old Time Music Hall show raised funds for local and Lions charities and attracted a huge crowd of colourfully dressed reisdents in period customes.
In the tradition of music hall events, a meal of sausage, mash and a pudding was also served by an enthusiastic group of Lions Club waiters.
“We’ve had a great turnout to celebrate the Music Hall era with an evening of variety, gaiety and entertainment in a fun-packed show that included acts where the audience could heckle the Chairman, laugh and sing the popular songs of the time, stamp their feet, cheer, or wipe a tear from their eyes,” said spokesman Andrew Bryant. “It was a great evening.”
