Several new noticeboards are being installed this week in Burnham-On-Sea’s town centre as part of the ongoing raft of improvements.
There will be seven noticeboards available to community groups and organisers to advertise their events in Burnham town centre.
“Funded as a part of the Town Council’s town improvements work, the aim is to tidy up the informal noticeboards in the town and provide visitors with up-to-date information about what is happening in the town,” said a spokeswoman.
Those who wish to have posters displayed on the noticeboards should send them either electronically to admin@burnham-highbridge.org or drop a copy at the Town Council offices in Jaycroft Road.
The Town Council would like to thank Shoe Zone, the owners of 2 High Street, Nat West Bank, Sedgemoor District Council and the owners of 45 Victoria Street for their assistance in this project.
The new noticeboard locations are: Adjacent to YMCA at 2 High Street; Side of Shoe Zone in Adam Street; Behind Nat West in Victoria Street; and BiARS on the seafront.
Existing noticeboard locations are outside Lloyds Bank in High Street/College Street; Outside 25 High Street outside Coffee Corner in Abingdon Street. A future noticeboard location will be outside Burnham Printers & Stationers in Victoria Street in late April 2015.
